Virtually Explore the Houston Botanic Garden

Our apartments near Memorial Park are only a short trip away from the Houston Botanic Garden. However, you can now enjoy the beautiful sights without leaving the comfort of your home. Our favorite virtual activities offered by the Houston Botanic Garden include:

The Gardens

Get an overview of the stunning gardens on their interactive webpage. You can virtually stroll through the map and get a peek at all the different gardens. You’ll find dedicated sections to the Global Collections Garden, the Culinary Gardens, as well as all the other famous attractions. It’s a great way to view gorgeous photos while learning about new subjects. Each section describes the fascinating cultural, historical, and scientific background that inspired the exhibit.

Virtual Visit Talks

You’ll want to keep an eye on the Houston Botanic Garden’s event calendar for virtual talks. The Virtual Visit webinar series invites horticulturalists and friends to talk about a fascinating topic. Guests have spoken about the science behind maintaining the wetland gardens, the challenges of cultivating culinary plants, and more. The unique format showcases both pre-recorded interviews and a live Q&A. It’s interactive, educational, and fun.

Watch & Learn

You’ll easily get hooked on the Watch & Learn video series. These videos feature community members, like Keisha Griggs of Ate Kitchen, to teach the different ways horticulture connects to culture. For instance, you’ll find videos tackling subjects such as the roots of Caribbean cuisine and the importance of gardening to Vietnamese culture. These beautiful videos demonstrate how much the garden cares about community.
